Our story

We are Yadee and Dessi, a mom and daughter duo. What started as a hobby for mom became a fun obsession. When she shared her love and process with Dessi, she quickly got convinced that this may be the creative business venture they both needed at the time. A few months later, April Moon Flower Studio was born.

A LITTLE ABOUT

Yadee {Mom}

Yadee is a graphic designer by trade but along her career has found creative outlets through different mediums, from baking to pottery and now pressed flower art. She has always believed in trying new things and going for what you want in life even when it is scary. No matter what she is creating it is always beautifully made with love and care!

Dessi {Daughter}

Dessi has always had a creative soul ever since she was a little girl. Creating any type of art has been part of her life. Even when she went to college or moved across the world to Australia she found time to practice her art. She definitely got that artistic trait from her mama!

They get along so well and when Yadee proposed pressed flower art, Dessi couldn’t say no! So here they are today, bringing their creative ideas into the world.

What we do: Modern flower press

We specialize in crafting uniquely designed frames using your wedding bouquet or the blooms from a special event.

We will use different pressing and preservation methods to highlight the particular beauty of each flower. Once your blooms are dried, we will then design a frame that you can proudly display in your home as a beautiful reminder of “YOUR” day.

Where we are: Deerfield Beach, FL

Deerfield Beach is on the southeast coast of Florida — close to Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami.

Not local? No problem. We preserve blooms nationwide! Once your order is placed we will provide shipping instructions.

Why the name?

A little funny story…

“Someone asked: Why April Moon Flower Studio?
Dessi: I don’t know, my mom chose it. I think its because it’s a cute name
Yadee: No, it’s actually a flower
Dessi: Nooo way!! LOL”

Indeed! April Moon is a rose of great delicate beauty. It is an attractive rose that features abundant lemon yellow flowers. Blooms have a sweet aroma and can have a red highlights in cooler weather.
